Anne-Marie Bohan

Anne-Marie Bohan is a partner in both the Asset Management and Investment Funds Group and the FinTech Group at Matheson. As well as advising clients on the establishment and operation of investment funds, Anne-Marie has extensive experience in outsourcing and managed service contracts, technology contracts and data protection, with specific focus on the requirements of financial institutions and service providers in these areas. Anne-Marie has advised on significant number of complex financial services, fund administration and IT outsourcings and off-shorings. She has lectured on IT, data protection and financial services in the Law Society of Ireland, the National University of Ireland Maynooth, and more broadly. She is author of the Ireland chapter in Outsourcing Contracts – a Practical Guide (Lewis, Fourth Ed, 2012) and is co-author of the Irish chapter in PLC’s Outsourcing Guide and of the Irish chapter in Getting the Deal Through’s Data Protection Guide. Andreas Carney

Andreas Carney

Andreas Carney is a partner in our Information Technology and Commercial Contracts Group and a member of our Data Protection and Privacy Group at Matheson. His expertise covers the full spectrum of technology law including software and systems development and implementation, cloud solutions, social media, digital content, e-commerce and online consumer matters. On the wider commercial contracts side, Andreas has advised extensively on a variety of services arrangements, from outsourcing to managed services to general service contracts, on both the vendor and customer sides, and regularly deals with agency, distribution and sales arrangements for B2B and B2C. He also has considerable practice experience in advising on data protection compliance and practical implementation. Andreas regularly presents on technology and contract law, data protection and related matters. He is a contributing author to publications on data protection and agency and distribution law. April McClements

April McClements

April McClements is a Partner in Matheson's Insurance and Dispute Resolution team. April is a commercial litigator and specialises in insurance disputes. She advises insurance companies on policy wording interpretation, complex coverage disputes (in particular relating to financial lines policies), D&O claims, professional indemnity claims, including any potential third party liability, and subrogation claims. April manages a significant number of professional indemnity claims for professionals, including insurance brokers, architects and engineers, for a variety of insurers. April also works in the area of general commercial litigation with a particular focus on contractual disputes, most of which are litigated in the Commercial Court. She is also a strong advocate of ADR and has acted for clients in mediations and arbitration. She is recommended for dispute resolution by Legal 500 2015. Alistair Payne

Alistair Payne

Alistair is a partner in the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group and head of Matheson's Intellectual Property Group. Formerly an IP/IT partner with one of the national Australian law firms, he has extensive experience gained over many years both in private practice and in-house, in relation to all aspects of intellectual property law. Alistair leads an integrated contentious and commercial intellectual property team. The Group advises a wide range of indigenous and multinational clients in both advisory, transactional and contentious matters in all areas of intellectual property law. He acts for manufacturers and brand owners in trade mark, passing off and anti-counterfeiting matters, advises pharmaceutical companies, research institutes, government agencies and tertiary institutions in patent ownership and infringement disputes, represents clients in copyright licensing and ownership disputes and concerning registered and unregistered design rights.
